Stiftung Mercator is a European foundation promoting understanding between people of different cultures, and Mercator Salon is a series of events organized by Stiftung Mercator. The salons provide an intercultural and interdisciplinary forum for Chinese and Europeans to exchange ideas and opinions, discussing topical social and cultural issues in China and Europe in a direct dialogue with actors from the fields of science and scholarship, art and culture, civil society, politics and business. We developed the logo for the event, merging visualizations of the concepts of 言 – yán and διάλογος – diálogos.
